Tapping oil fitting

Wonder if its possible to safely add another 1/4npt hole to the oil pressure fitting ( the one the sending unit screws it to) that screws into the block. Plan on putting the hole 120* below the factory hole.

You probably could drill and tap it for an 1/8" npt but I don't think it's big enough for 1/4" npt. I would be a lot easier to just add a tee.

I drilled/tapped a hole on the opposite side of the stock switch for my gauge.
I can add pic if u want.
*mine's a mechanical gauge*
