Tonite I got to meet mike puckett, rapper33142, MRD, big-e(again) and gmonie6. we ate at hooters and hung out for awhile looking at the cars. then hit the dragstrip by 8pm. Ed went home tho :(

the weather was real nice except a little chilly at 60 degrees

I ran my 89 5spd
rapper ran his 92 auto
Mike ran his 04 CTS

My best time was.........(drumroll)

Reaction ---- .663
60 foot ------ 2.12
1/8 ET ------ 9.62
1/8 MPH ----- 73.0
1/4ET ------ 14.77
MPH --------- 97.5

so a .1 sec improvement over my previous best but my mph went up again.

i'll let the other guys chime in with their times.

gonna upload some pics and videos later too.

That's plenty of MPH to run low 14s and maybe high 13s. Get back to the track and start practicing!

Sorry I had to leave early, but I still had a 2 hour drive home....

It was nice to finally but a face with the names...

I've got pretty much the same mods on Black Betty and dyno'ed at 218 hp with 325 rwtq.....

The only mod I had that you didn't was 10% OD, but I wasn't bored .040 over either....;)

Anyway, here's my pic's.....

Sorry I missed it, maybe next time. So who owns which cars? Were there more SC's than the ones pictured? Was there only time for 3 runs?

The silver 89 sc is mine. The black one is rapper's and mike puckett was in the caddy. Gmonie was at hooters bt never showed at the strip.

We took pretty long breaks in between runs and didn't do the first run til 9pm.

Mike's caddy consistently ran 14.7's

I really hated beating you guys in your SC's with my Caddy but it'll give you something to work up to. You guys need to work on your reaction times as much as anything. Practice, practice, practice. On the other hand if my SC hadn't of had a blown 3rd gear synchro and I'd have run it, it would've been worse.:D It would've been nice to taken out that SRT8 Jeep with it as well. I had a great time, though. It was good to meet up with y'all.

I can't make the 7th. I've got something noncar related going on that Saturday. I was glad I was able to help you out on your quickest time. Robert has some more videos of us and we'll try to get those posted soon. I've lost a lot of races on reaction time so don't feel bad.

I thought that the track was a bit slick which would explain why all those sub 10 second cars were having trouble hooking up. They claim to be "The House of Hook" but not last Saturday nite. And, the shutdown area is a bit short but that hill really helps to slow the car down. I'll definitely have to bring my SC up there sometime. Looking at Google Earth the track elevation is only 292 feet so that should make for some good times. Maybe I can run another 12.9 before I retire this motor.

JR i'll get the vids of your runs up a little later. gotta do some school work tonite but might be able to squeeze them in.

as for my times, i know i need to get my sc on a dyno and verify the AFR, then send the chip to Dave to make changes. then i need some radials to get my 60 foot times down

thanks for the encouragement CMac ;)
