Which rod bearings??

so inspecting my short block I purchased for my rebuild and found crank has been turned .25mm thats ok, looks like premo job done on it. a few of the upper rod bearings have brass showing right in center.

so as a precausion I wana repalce them

they are clevite 77 CB-1283P bearings.

rock auto sells them and also sells sealed power and a no name brand.

what are the general consensus as to which is the better bearing they both are a tri-metal design. the off name brand is off the table due to the size offered.

clevite 77 thats the only bearings any engine i ever touches gets

Check the radii (chamfers) on the crank. Often messed up in machining with worn tools.
