The yards are great for hidden treasures.
The people who WORK at these yards and behind the counter are the real garbage. Like the stupid girl who stamped my shirt instead of my hand and her co-worker who refused to give me a discount on parts.

I had a friend of mine pull a dash at the PAP here in Charlotte....
He was quoted $40.00 for a mint black dash from a 91 XR-7....
When he got it to the check out counter, the PAP owner told him it would be $140.00 for the dash.....
When my friend asked him about the $40.00 offer, the PAP owner said that was for a dash with no HVAC controls, wiring harness, and instrument cluster.....
He ended up tossing the dash into the dumpster.....:confused::eek:

Man you guys are lucky lol. There are no SCs at my local yard. I did get super excited last time I went, I saw the same style bumper cover that our cars have, but the hood latch was broken, so I spent some real time working at it to get the hood open, and imagine my surprise when I open it an see a regular V8 engine :( I thought I might have had a chance to grab a supercharger and get some porting done.

Next time look at the rear bumper cover....
The SCs have "supercharged" embossed in them.....
Another clue is the boost gauge in the instrument cluster....

I got a Fiberglass Mach 1 hood(Ram Air is what cervini calls it) 60bucks
Most recently, a freshly replaced accumulator ball - $5.00. Much more over the years. EVERYTHING I've bought has been a bargain, and I've gotten some good stuff. Some of the highlights:
A practically new set of front ARC Shocks (still shiny, with Motorcraft stickers still on them) - $20 ea. (the whole spring assembly).
A brand new set of TRW upper control arms and anti-sway bar links - $30 for all.
Perfect black carpet - $10
Entire moonroof module assembly from a 53K mile car - $20
145 mph speedometer cluster - $10
Wiper trays, windshield and rear window mouldings, weatherstrips; all cheap.
Tons more stuff; all in nearly NOS condition
There's a lot of good stuff out there...

this was years ago but i got some killer deals at a u pull it in daytona.
one left hand LED panel off a 96-97 LX for $18 (it was $1 per inch for taillights)
$3? for a Multifunction switch
and the funniest thing of all. $7 for a complete blue 93 LX interior door panel with switches. It was funny because a friend of mine at the time had a silver 93 lx with the same exact color interior right down to the cloth trim on the door and his pass door pull handle was broken and missing and i think his switch panel was dangling as well. I found 3 of them in the u pull it yard and picked the best one and since i couldn't remember if his switch panel was in good shape or not i bought that too (iirc it was $6 for the door panel and $1 for the switch panel) he was really happy with the very inexpensive christmas present i bought him, lol.
