this crank was bought brand new from ford this was never ran in a motor
it was machined 30/10 bc it was not up to my biulders spec blanced against stardard weight .. and it is a super coupe crank there will be pic of the casting numbers... i have no need for this part..it was purchased for 750 from ford ......so make an offer i do have rods n pistons and a block n cam that would make a nice shortblock

i thought this was gonna be a big deal item

01-11-2010, 01:02 PM
It probably would have been if it was not remachined. Was it machined 30 thou on the mains and 10 thou on rods, or what exactly was done?

01-11-2010, 01:09 PM
it was machine not cause of failure, my builder put it to his spec thats all

01-11-2010, 07:13 PM
the builder likely found the bearing clearance to be too tight for his comfort, thus grinding the crank allowed him to open up the clearance.

The problem for people to purchase is that if it has already been balanced, it'll need to be re-balanced as the purchasers pistons and rods may be different weights, not to mention balancer and/or flywheel.

You should try to move it as a complete rotating assembly, crank/pistons/rods. Offer an "all in" price for all three.

i understand that it might have to get rebalanced but im not asking that much for it that even with the cost of shipping and rebalance that it still would be a gr88888 deal
