2 different cam sensors

Doing a winter upgrade/rebuild. I decided to replace the cam and crank sensors while they are easy to get at.

On the advance auto parts site they have 2 different cam sensors. One looks like it's just the top sensor. The other has a driveshaft included with it? I have never replaced the cam sensor as well. If one is easier than the other I would like to buy that one. From what I have browsed it is a complicated procedure. If anyone can point me to a good thread or has any advice please let me know as well!

Just get the sensor only, the other is the entire synchronizer assembly. Just remove the sensor and replace, its that easy.

Ok sounds easy. I'm going to be doing a cam install. So, now I'm getting ahead of myself. I read I need to have the hash marks lined up on the timing chain. Where should the sensor be oriented when doing this?
