5.0 to sc swap

I have a 90 sc that leaks oil only after it been running for a few minutes. Its hard to tell where its leaking from maybe a front main seal. I really want to ditch the 3.8 . I have a 5.0 mustang so I'm familiar with that engine. My question is what kind of budget will need to do the swap myself. And pro and cons carb vs fuel injection.

easier and cheaper to get a 5.0 car and put sc interior into that really....
Sc is unique electrically so it would require most of the wiring its really not worth it.
I think I'd have a 4.6 car if I got another V8 bird myself...

Yea, it would probably be easier to fix the oil leak.
Although I have a 91 cougar xr7 with a HO 5.0 - not sure you could find one of those and have the wiring match up. The mustang HO 5.0 has a different intake manifold and the exhaust is different (Ford had to do some 'squeezing' to get it into the low hood on the Tbird/Cougar).
