:(
So I was coming down princess anne road and my transmission out of no where began tearing itself apart, got the car home but i don't think it's good. If anyone is near the courthouse in VB and wants to take a peek to at least see what's up, let me know.

Of course this happens NOW.

Sorry about the luck. Not much we can do for you though. Go to U wrench it and pull you another one for 100.00. Thats what Keith did. In the rain I might add.

Yea I might just swap one out to get her back on the road for now, but i'm thinking about a 5 speed setup....just that T-45's and such are weak...that's what Robert P told me. he said the T-56 is the strongest of the 5 speeds. but I don't know if that will fit heh....

No offense but, Is your car really worth a 3k 6 speed (T-56 is a 6sp) swap? Let alone the amount of work it will take? T-45 is plenty strong enough for 2-300hp. Its after that you have problems. Get the 4R70W overhauled or replace it...

Yea with our single car garage my parents would flip....oh well i guess I just wait for them to go on vacation :D

I think this car is worth the money, I want the most unique car on the street. So I'm aiming to make heads turn with my 4.6 purring :P

I do plan on 650-700 hp in the end, so I want my transmission done up right.
I know auto usually can be built to hold a ton of horsepower...but I like manuals and I see manual mustangs transmissions holding 900rwhp+

I want to go with the T-45 but I just want to know if it can be BUILT to hold 6-700 horsepower. I know it will hold 200-300 stock.

Well for now i'm going with another auto just to get on the road like I said. Probably going to the hobby shop to take the tranny out of the car this weekend. Man I wish I had some help to get it out...;)

When are you going to do it?

Well here is an update, I have a backup to drive for now so the car is going to sit till late summer. I can cruise around my neighborhood in first without any problems so the tires can move and the engine gets a light workout. I went to picknpull and tried to get the mark VIII tranny out but I thought about it and I really don't want to have to mess changing this and that for my car to accept the new auto. I would rather spend the time getting the 5 speed in there. I've done a LOT of research and I'm going with the TR-3650 in the end. Here is the list

Supercoupe clutch pedal assembly
Supercoupe Master Cylinder
05 GT slave
TR-3650 (either a remanufacture or something of the sort)
custom driveshaft
custom tranny support

I want ease of install so I decided not to do the T-45 due to cutting a hole in the floorboard...that's not the route I'd like to go haha, can you blame me? :P

Either way it won't be easy, but the TR-3650 will work better for my application, now I'm trying to get a job so I can save up for my trickflow top end kit and intake system. That will give me a huge gain in HP and a bit more torque when I combine it with some headers and true dual exhaust.

Mechman1984 already has this setup in his car and he said he regrets using the mustang master because he had to custom fab a LOT of other parts, so I'll use the SC master to avoid the majority of custom fab work.
