oil gauge on needle on high??

Put the top end of the motor back together and filled it with the necessary fluids and now the oil gauge shoots right to the high side, anyone have any ideas why??
 
don't panic

sender for oil press gauge is simply an on/off switch, if the gauge itself is responding differently its no big deal.
 
The stock oil gauge is nothing more then a dummy light, install a real gauge to see whats going on.
