New second owner of 89 SC Auto car

Just bought it today will register it Monday. Car will be for my daughter's use. Has 82K with new motor and trans installed. Runs fine. Just need to fix the A/C and the passenger side window. Car does have an annoying electrical glitch relating to the ignition switch. If not manipulated correctly it causes the diagnostic center and turn signals to go out and the brake/ABS lights to come on. Seems like a nice project car.

Hello. I believe there was a recall by Ford relating to the ignition switch for shorting out, perhaps this is your problem. Also try a question on the tech forum, others will offer more information.
