So my 90 SC has been running awesome for about 5 months now since purchase, until yesterday morning when for just brief moment while at highway cruising speed, the car bucked, lurched and sputtered for about 10-15 seconds.
I was running about 75 when it suddenly acted up, I let off the gas, moved to slow lane and before I could even pull over the car was fine, with no symptoms whatsoever.
I continued another 40 miles with no problems and then another 60 that evening going home, running perfect.
So what could the problem have been?
My initial thought was a transmission slip because it lurched, but then it was clear the problem was loss of power.
Bad Gas? I use 93 premium, but I will run some lucas this weekend.
Plugs/Wires? These might be old. I resurrected this car and have dropped almost 2k on it but did not replace plugs or wires because it ran so good.
Cam Sensor?
Idle Control Sensor?
Any conensus on the forums?
