I finally started working on the Frontmount of the Stang.

Here are some pictures of my progress, as I start to work out the bugs.

Looks like you have plenty of room to work with. I would open up the area where the pipe runs through the inner fender for movement, looks real tight. I see you did remove some of the front bumper support, less weight.............:D

The alternator bracket is from an earlier 5.0 fox mustang. I mounted it to the heads with an adpater plate which I made from 3/8 aluminum plate. The tensioner is a turnbuckle. Thanks, for the heads up on the water flow issue with the electric water pump. I had a divider and a plate installed to force water to the other side.

Can't tell, is there a tensioner on the Alternator belt or is the bracket adjustable? How many Gpm is the electric water pump?

There is a turn buckle tensioner between the bracket and alternator. 55gpm Meziere

I used a Meziere WP336S 55gpm remote pump. I made a support bracket and welded it to the frame rail. I modified a water pump housing and bolted it to the stock timing chain cover. The shaft and impeller where removed and the bypass, heater and shaft holes where filled in. After talking to Chris V, I decided to have a divider welded into the inlet and a plate welded on the back to help split the water flow.

Pretty slick. I didnt realize it was remote. You did that due to lack of application for our cars I am guessing? 55gph is a lot of water for a 6 banger. Not that it is a bad thing! Speaking of which, you guys know you can only have water in the radiator to run Pinks right? Keith? If you leak coolant on the track they will ban you from future events...

Mike Tuck (Super XR7) was suppose to be making an electric water setup for the 3.8L engine, which mounted to the timing chain cover. I was looking forward to get one as it is a very nice design, but I need to get my car ready for "Pinks All Out" and had to come up with a different approach.

I will be running distilled water and water wetter.

You can break all the hoses you want, they're concerned with spilling anti-freeze on the track, that's what gets you banned. I plan on draining my anti-freeze and running straight water with maybe a bottle of some sort of water wetter.

And you guys draining your coolant, make sure you put a hose in the upper rad inlet and let the car run so you get all of it out. They don't want one drop on the track. Just for your info I have always had antifreeze in my car when I go there. Prolly just jinxed myself.

Yes, I bought a 4 pack and installed 2 on the rims for the full slicks. You can have the other 2 if you want them. These are the ones I bought.

I plan on adding twin 6.5 inch puller fans up near the top of IC. I figure the will help low speed cooling and cooling in between rounds at the strip.

From what Chris has been telling us about the Pinks deals he ran in the past, you'll have plenty of time to cool down between rounds. Your fans will come in handy if you make it into the money rounds.

Pinks sent me their "package" last night with all the info.

I already ordered the 6.5" fans.
I am going to place them at the top of the core which has reduced airflow. I went with the smaller fans so they would not block the lower part of the core which has unrestricted airflow. I guess I will find out how this logic works out.
