Has anyone considered taking the high compression iron heads and using low compression pistons? Is it possible? I am sure u can acomidate for this.?

Yeah for our cars. the N/A 3.8 tbirds appearently used higher compression heads. If we were to swap our allum low compression heads for iron high compression heads and used low compression pistons, what would result? Swapping to iron heads would be for durability of course.

As far as I have been informed they are higher compression.

Um. I don't know where you are getting your information from but there was never an Iron head for our platform.

Here is something you can learn too.

Aluminum has better heat disipataion than iron does. Therefore, you can run higher compression with an aluminum head than you can with an iron head at the exact same timing, fuel, boost, etc. Second, head design also plays a part in that.

And also something to know...the SC heads are not the same as the N/A version either internally. They were redesigned for the SC motor and then further redesigned to improve strength and coolant flow.
