okay, so i got a brand new super coupe! it is by far the cleanest car i own, so i'm planning to swap my good rebuild and manual trans from my junker into the good one. only problem is, it is an automatic. i want this car restored with a few speed goodies to be my show car. i need to know what is involved to do a correct swap-wiring harness, computer, hole in trans tunnel? both cars are '89s.

seriously? two weeks and no replies? i know people have done this swap-i could probably figure it out myself but i would rather get the info i need beforehand so the swap goes quicker, as this is my daily driver. i'll be waiting...

Trans swap

It's not hard, you have all the parts from you other car. You will need to pull the dash to drill the hole in the fire wall for the clutch. You will also need the wiring harness thats on the 5 speed. the hole in the tunnel is one size fits all, the auto uses a different plate/ cover.
