Insrument Question

Well, the project continues.....going along quite well I might add.

Anyway, vehicle in question is my 89 SC no miler.
When shut down the boost gauge reads...about 3 inches vacuum.

Is it OK to remove the needle from the post and recenter it or am I going to destroy the meter?

Advice?

Thanks in advance,
Rob

me too

id like to know this as well mine sits at about 2 to the left of zero no big deal but bugs the hell out of me

Me as well, boost gauge is about 2"-3"off towards vaccum. I really think you should be able to since you have to take the needles of the other gauges to put a back plate in the cluster. I could be very wrong though.

yes its not a problem most after market gauges require you to remove the needle
most people use a fork to get them off

Well then,
Looks like I'll be pulling the lens off in a few days and give it a go.

Thanks for the input!

Rob
