Hey guys just put 373 gears in my bone stock 89 automatic sc with 129000 miles and just wondering if this thing should be able to break the tires loose from a dead stop. As of right now it will not. Just seems doggy, I have looked for boost leaks and found nothing, it also builds good boost 11 to 12. Just seams like the timming is retarded!

One of my old bone-stock autos would roast the tires for a stop. Much easier to do than on some of the other SC's
 
My best advice is to make sure you have a good tuneup. Wires an dplugs...From there make sure your fuel pump is operating well.....Ifin stock form it doesnt get the wheels spinning and all else is well I always look at my transmission and go hmmmmmmmmmmm


With 3.73 you should fry em
