Took the heap to the track today. What a dump. NO tech period. Guys were taking their girlfriends down the track on crotch rockets  . There was 0 prep also. Made a co pilot pass in my buds 06 mustang gt. We went 14.1 at 100, and I was scared, it was so bumpy and slick for the 1/8 I thought we may hit the wall. Made another pass with him is the opposite lane, wee bit better so I gave that one a shot. 7psi launch at 4500rpm against the 2 step. 14lbs in the tires and a healthy burnout. Pedaled all the way through first gear with a badass 2007 shootout Neibert style burnout, grabbed second wide open and smoked the tires partially thru it, then finished off trapping in 3rd. It was so wild and bumpy I decided to put the street tires back on and head home. No way a trans or rearend parts would have lived. To give you an idea, my 275rwhp blower setup went a couple tenths quicker in the 1/8 :o

2.20 60ft
5.81 330ft
8.65 1/8
84mph 1/8
12.95 1/4
118mph 1/4

The car got a ton of attention afterwards. One guy on a crotch rocket was in awe, and said "you're F`in nuts, that thing was all over the place". And a srt-4 guy begged me to make another pass so he could get it on tape, apparently it sounds pretty cool, and blows out flames between gears with the no lift shift activated.

Corey,

Congrats!! Sounds like a you've got an 11 second SC if you can get traction and a good launch without breaking anything. Looking forward to seeing it run at the Shootout.

That pass was on 16psi. should be a real monster on 20, if I ever man up and put some race gas in it.

Sounds as if you went to dragway 42 . I'm pretty sure that place should be condemned.

Anyways, that ain't bad for the first time. Have you changed anything or just left it alone?

Hit me up next time you want to go to the track, it would be awesome to have two turbo sc's there. I've been waiting to go, but really want the weather to cool down some.

How does the no-lift ~~~~ work? I have that feature one mine, but its turned off because I haven't had time to mess with it.

Yup dragway 42. If you go faster than 42mph you better have a helmet on.

Does it help if I did it on a set of 6year old Hoosiers?
