At Hertford on Saturday September 11th will be an All Pro Tree Test and Tune day for the All Index Races on the 25th!
You will get a chanced to hone your skills on a Pro Tree, and to see what it's like to run side by side down the 660 without breaking out.
I'm thinking of throwing some sand bags in the back of the Mustang and run the 7.90 index class on the 25th.

I went to the Test N Tune last night at Hertford. I wanted to dial my car in for the 7.90 index class and practice with the Pro tree. I was finally able to get my car to make a 7.90 run. I had to throw 100lbs of sand in the trunk, pull 4 degrees of timing and use a non-aggressive launch. Sure seems counter intuitive to try to slow the car down. As for the Pro tree, my reaction times where poor to say the least. :o

Well, went to Hertford for Test N Tune. I was trying to practice for the 7.90 index class, but I can't seem to reliably slow the car down. Last weekend I thought I was close with 100lbs of sand bags in the trunk and and pulling 4 degrees timing, which yielded a 7.99 ET. I left the sand bags home and pulled 3 degrees of Global timing and added 2% fuel. I keep running under the 7.90 index. :(
