A/C venting problem solved

A weird one happened to me this week on my 92 sc. Started car and idled for a couple minutes. Suddenly a huge plume of gas from underhood. The A/C compressor had vented a large amount of freon through a port in the high pressure side. I assumed that the system had gotten plugged, so I turned it off and went on with my day. A couple days later while idling at the bank, I noticed I was overheating. After a round of troubleshooting I found I had no cooling fan due to the fuse link near the battery failing. It didn't burn, looked more like a corrosion problem. The fan wasn't cooling the A/C condensor and the system over pressured. I didn't notice the overheating till I was stopped for an excessive amount of time. Might be a good idea to check those fuseable links. A good tug to see if they are getting weak would be in order. I'd have been pretty miffed if I lost a head gasket over a couple dollar part.
