When I get back from the Shootout, I have my work cut out for me. This will be my 2nd SVO supercharger install. It will be going on a 96 Mustang Gt, which has PI heads. The supercharger was already modded to fit on PI heads, also an IAT was added and it has the rear coolant passages. I removed the front coolant tube, then I threaded the hole and capped it. I also port matched the inlet for a 75mm throttlebody.

Whats that go for now adays? Should be a pretty easy swap? Just gotta relocate the Alt right?

Relocate Alt, add a extra idler pulley and a computer tune.
Also the IAT needs to be relocated to the discharge side of the SC (which was not part of the original SVO setup).

This install is getting some extra upgrades, 42lb injectors, 90mm Lmaf and stage 2 snow.

How many PSi? What you think? 450rwhp with the snow and the timing turned up?

The SVO supercharger is no longer available through FRPP. I found the first SVO supercharger locally. The second one was found on the TCCOA for sale forums. What the supercharger sells for, depends on what the previous owner includes in the package. I would say the going price is $1500 - $2200.

It will be going on a 1996 Mustang Gt, I'm hoping for low 12's, maybe high 11's.

The Dyno tune is scheduled for this Thursday at 9am.
Then I will be taking my brother's Mustang to Hertford dragstrip Friday night. I need to make it back to the Norfolk airport by 11:15pm, so I can return his car to him.

Yeah, yamaha is using it in their new 4 smoke outboard.

I thought so too Todd....I should have never driven that damn car now I want one.... I figured that Japanese were probably using it Chris. Seems to be a lot tougher than the nickasil they used previously in Motorcycles and Atv's....

Anything I were to buy would be difficult to keep up with you and that car with the outboard strapped to the back of it that went 11.29 before the shootout....Especially with a 6-speed. Advantage V6.....

I think Yamaha and Ford still talk alot. The new outboard has the SHO name. I guess you gotta get a new block if you scratch a cylinder tho. The yamaha techs didn't know too much about it. They mainly do it to save weight, no more steel sleeves.

Ya know, now that ya said something about an outboard on the back of a car... I would like to put a 300hp HPDI(High Pressure Direct Injected) 2 stroke engine in a car... I think that would be sweet.:D

You would think they could flame spray it again.

Yeah but who does that? And wonder how much that machine costs. I wonder how they get a round cylinder too.

They mainly do it to save weight, no more steel sleeves. That is the reason that Ford spent the money to engineer it further with the creator of the Plasma Spray (Flamespray), to save the weight of the cast iron cylinder liners. Im sure Yamaha and Ford are still pretty tight. And as for the direct injected outboard, I would like to see that! Everything will be direct injected by the end of the decade, I think. Way more power to be had by spraying the fuel directly into the cylinder, instead of the intake manifold. Cools the charge, lowers the detenation issues which means you can turn the timing up. The parts are more expensive for direct injection fuel systems. That is the only draw back for the manufacturer right now. But im sure that will change when it becomes more mainstream....

Im sure it could be done. Only problem with that is that it is patented. So Flamespray would have to do it for you. Or wait till the patent runs out and start your own business:rolleyes:

I'm thinking of trading the Mach1 in for a 2012 Mustang Gt.

Whats the Mach 1 worth? Im guessing 16-18 on trade? Low twenties if you listed it and sat on it for a while? Or am I off? Im guessing....
Edit- Nada says 15.6k clean retail and 18.4k retail.....good guessing, huh? Thats with 7500 miles

My plan was to wait till the 2011 Shelby's are a little older. I cant see paying 55k for a car that is going to be worth 42k next year. Then mid thirty's a year or two after that. Low mileage 2009's and 2010's are already under 40k.
