Question for all B & M Ripper Shifter owners

Ok, I can't be the only one faced with this problem and wanted some input from other folks.
What are you all doing when the shifter dust seal goes bad? You know, the one that seals where the handle goes into the trans. I've replaced mine twice and it's cracked and needs replacing it again.
I contacted B&M for another and was told they are no longer making the shifter, therefore no longer making the seal. Bummer
So, I'm open to any suggestions some of you might have to offer. I'm usually pretty good at figuring out this kind of stuff, but I'm stumped at the moment.

I am sitting on one that has the same problem.

I tried that route as well with no help from them.

Mine has been in and out a couple times this summer. Split has stayed on the crown x 4 and not down the sides.

As with Mike covered with factory rubber liner and leather.

With no potential replacement it may may sense to cut N-S-E-W on crown and let shaft have free travel.

My gut feeling is that if it doesn't evenly split it will work down the side.

Mine has never cracked and it's about 5-6 yrs old. Get a boot for a Mustang shifter. It should be the same size. I don't know why B&M wouldn't suggest that.
