Front/rear hub retaining nuts identical?

The size and thread pitch is the same. I need to pull my rear knuckles free of the halfshafts. I've got some hub retaining nuts that I bought for the front, and they'll thread onto the half shafts, but I wanted to make sure nothing bad will come of using front nuts on the rear hubs. The nuts currently on the rear use Nyloc inserts, whereas the front nuts I have are all metal with the final few threads flattened out.

The front nuts have a larger washer than the rear. I do not believe that there is an issue with using a front nut on the rear, but you can't use a rear nut on the front.

Thanks, David. From the looks of things, my urethane knuckle bushings did not survive the shootout, hence the reason for the question. They would have been fine with Tbird arms, but not with the Lincoln LCAs.

I have some new Ford rear nuts in stock that I can sell you along with the Delrin Knuckle Bushing Kit, if you're interested. $12/pr.
