If anyone is interested in coming out, Saturday October 23rd there will be a SCCA sanctioned autocross held at National Trail Raceway which is just outside Columbus, OH. There are a few SC people already planning to attend the event I am just making the event known so maybe other SC's or other MN12's could show up. For information about the event go to www.ovr-scca.org. Ideally I'd like to meet at National Trail in the morning about 7am so everyone can get registered, get car numbers, tech'ed, walk the course and novice course walk. Drivers meeting is usually around 9am and racing heats start around 9:30am. After the event is over we could all get dinner and talk about the day's racing. If interested post here or let me know.

Sorry I didn't get your call Ryan, I just left the ER at OSU. I took my sister there around 3pm and just left. She has pneumonia and they admitted her.

I'll call you tomorrow and we can talk about details of this coming weekend.

You need to take that bad-boy out on a road course. Come down to TWS next spring and run with the dallas ford guys (including me) and show us what that aero setup will do. :D

I already have :D

Other pictures and a few videos are in the racing forums. I'll consider TWS next spring just will depend on my NASA Great Lakes schedule and of course available funds. What are you running?

As far as this weekend goes the forecast calls for 64 degrees and partly cloudy.

Wow that is really cool and an awesome picture too! Who has the white sc? Are you running in nasa hpde or hyperdrive? I just might have to make it down that was this coming season. I am planning to hot Road Atlanta, VIR, and maybe Sebring over the winter months. The nasa texas region made an awesome year end video for 2009.

That's Robert Kriek in the background and yes, I thought it was awesome picture too. I would be surprised if any other pictures of 2 Supercoupes like that exist. I have a "touched up" version that fixes my clearcoat flaking problem. :D

This event is the TWS Performance driving school which is a track sponsored event. No points or trophies. Just drive the wheels off for 2 days and go home.

Yeah I could see that being the only picture of it's kind with two SC's on a road course at the same time racing each other. it would be fun to make it three in a row :)

How much does that track day cost to run?

Nice meeting you guys saturday! I didn't even know that this get together was happening. It was still quite fun with a great course, and of course I wouldn't have been the fastest car if my dad didn't let me run his 94 rx7

It was good meeting you too.

I'll post this video up for the time being since none of the event pictures have been posted yet. The video is of Ryan Zimmerly driving my car with my buddy Rick Hacker sitting shotgun. It was awesome finally being able to watch my car as a spectator go around the course. She sounds so cool :D

Ya it was fun racin the twisties for once and will definately do it again, even with the auto in 2nd gear. I think I ran a 44 second run on that pass and a 42 or 43 on the following in your car. Best I could manage with my car was a 44 or 46 I believe.

You were actually a little slower then that Ryan. Your best was a 48.481 plus one cone. Results: http://www.ovr-scca.org/uploads/ax_results/2010/06_fin_2010-10-23.htm

It would be fun to see your car out again. We at OVR are working on the pricing.

That doesn't make any sense, all the slips I have in the car that were given to me at the finish line in the 4 runs I did with my car were 48-46. How do they score, I know you ran a 42 on the last run?

Ryan,

On any of your times if you see a (+1) next to your time that meant you hit 1 cone on that run for a two second penalty. They add the two seconds to your time automatically and publish those times. I ran a 43.9xx on my last run which was my fastest run of the day but I hit a cone on that run so they tacked on two seconds to that run. Without that cone I would have finished in 2nd place a few hundredth away from 1st just having fun not even trying to be competitive lol

Ya, that was the last corner. A long wide open sweeper, and with the horsepower it was fun to drift :D. I just went out and had some fun, and I'll do it again next year.

Ryan,

Since I am not capable of convincing the powers to be, you should pick up the flag and carry it to the shootout committee and convince them that autox should be added to the shootout itinerary.... at some point
