If this is anywhere near accurate for our motors, then even mine running I think 8.5:1 CC and 18 PSI Boost, I am seeing an actual 18.9:1 boosted compression ration!!:eek: Crap that is a lot, no wonder folks are lifting heads and blowing HG's on a regular basis, with stock engines/hardware and boost increases like we have with various pulley combos!

Looks like a lot of people are probably experiencing detonation big time if they are not using octane increasers of some sort and running upwards of 15+ PSI of boost!

It scared me when I contacted Ross about a set of pistons I have and they told the compression ratio at 15psi was 16:1. :eek:

Fortunately the dynamics of compression under boost is quite different from the dynamics of normal compression, so we get away with a lot. ;)
