K & N square filter

Any one have any success with the K&N square filter, not the cone one? K&N says the square one will boost HP by 5-10%.

10 - 20 hp increase. Ain't gonna happen. In reality, you won't see much of a difference at all. Maybe 2-3 hp. Sorry......

The hp boost isn't much, but the protection and efficiency are worth its weight in gold.

i put the square filter in and i did notice a differance in throttle response. i doubt the hp claim though. the gains in protection though is worth it.

does this go in the stock airbox?

try running a 5 inch corregated flex drainpipe down to the front and form an air dam....I get good throttle response with this and better top mph on high speed runs....I took a carpet knife and cut enough out of the front to have it just pear out horizontally....and a bit of sealer in the box to make it air tight....but the black plastic tube fits in almost perfectly with a bit of coaxing.
