will a 97' hood fit my 94'

my stock hood looks kinda blah. i was gonna cut out the top and fabricate a raised panel. kinda the same design it has, just taller. i saw a t-bird drivin the other day and the stock hood had a different design. it hit me that it was either a 96 or 97. i need a new hood regaurdless cause the knucklehead that had the car had the hood blow open. so, i located a hood for my car and a 97 in a salvage yard. anyone know the answer?
 
The 96-97 hood will fit on a 94 but, you will have a gap above the head lights.
The best option is to swap to a 96-97 header panel and head lights with the 96 -97 hood swap.
 
great! i need new headlights anyway. is it just the headlight "bucket" so to speak or is there more? will i just know when i take the lights out?

96/97 headlights on a 94/95 hood makes it have gap ... the 97 hood sticks out a little bit further than the 94/95 front bumper cover also.
