Couple of the guys hit the track day T & T at MIR today to make some season ending runs on the cars.

EECDOC, BLOWN38 and Nickelman all there with their rides and from what I understand some new bests run there as well this weekend. :)

I'll let them post up their numbers.

Great weekend for everyone running from our forums group the past two days! Two days in a row for EECDOC at 2 different tracks with basically the same results.

Congrats to all of you! ;)

I barely beat my old time of 11.33, my new time is an 11.28 @ 120 mph. I also cut a personal best 60' with a 1.59. The weather got steadily warmer throughout the day but ended really cool when the sun went down. I had some issues but that's no excuse. I'm going to try again next week at VMP.

Well I got a new computer for tuning that has a good battery. Didn't have time to pull the tune off the QH at home to check if everything is good. So I did that at the track got it all set up to log. Went out to make the first pass and it was fat the whole way 9.8-10.0:1, managed a 11.30 at 120 with a 1.59 60'. Seemed like the converter help out there.

So I looked at the tune in the old computer and of coarse the MAF transfers are differnt from BE2009 to 2010, ones in kg/hr and other lbs/min. So I spent awhile converting the voltage points, while Keith was out there hammering on my jackshaft belt, it held up to double duty:D. The bottom of the curve was lean middle 5 points where good and the upper was fat. Put my belt back on and went up to make my 2nd pass. Just took it up on the foot brake to 2200 rpms, took off and it felt good AFR was hangin around 12.0:1, and I thought about lifting, but said screew it I got coated pistons:cool: and kept on goin. Got the slip and was rewarded with a 10.805 at 126.16 with a 1.53 60'. It short shifted 1st to second at 6k and had its studder.

Went back to the pits and checked to make sure the alcohol was functioning properly and it seems to be. IAT climbed to 158* and the computer pulled 1.2* of timing on the top end. So Siska had a clean air filter I threw on the car to see if it was my dirty one making it hard for the blower to draw air. I thought about richening it up alittle but said heck with it. Lean is mean, right?

So its getting late now and the temp is dropping. Lots of 1/4 mile oil downs. We decide to hang out to make the last pass. By now 3/4 of the cars left the track and Keith and I are still sharing a belt. I had a feeling they where gonna call the slow and fast class up together and I was gonna get screwed. I told Keith he better make this last pass worth it if I miss my shot.:) Keith gets up in line quick and is the 2nd pair of cars to hit the track. He makes his pass and its a dud. So I run back to the pit get my car ready for the belt swap. They've already called my class as Keith is going down the track. We swap belts and I boogie. Get up there to do my burnout the other guy has already done his and I still stage before him. Bring it up to 2k on the 2 step at 5psi boost. Take off and it feels good. Get the slip and its a 10.82 at 126.16 with 1.54 60'. It may have spun the tires on that pass but I don't recall. I was just trying to get up there and not piss off the track officials. But atleast I backed up the 10.80.

Car weighed 3735 after the last pass with me in it and 1/2 tank of gas. I'll get the video, slips and datalogs up tonight.

Nope...I'm already sponsoring myself, and that's costing too much. I've already spent most of my 2011 car upgrade fundage, and now that Chris is deep into the 10s, I'm gonna have to step it up again on the 91.

Here are some screen shots from my logs of my runs.

1st shot
1st pass after transfering tune to new computer. MAF all Fed up. Think I'm sposed to have a 1.6 QH with BE2010.

2nd shot
10.80 pass launch looks like the converter is stalling about 3500. Foot brake to 2200.

3rd shot
Full 10.80 pass. Not sure whats with the funky rpm signal on the 1-2 shift. May have been a 10.7x if it shifted at 6500.

4th shot
2 step launch at 2k 5psi boost. Looks like stalling about 3800. 10.82 pass.

5th shot
Full 10.82 pass funny shift 1-2 and 2-3 and the log stalling for some reason after the 1-2 shift and top of 3rd gear.

Just to point out something while there is an excellent opportunity to do so.

Check the difference in the 60 fts on those two passes, then look at the nearly 2/100's+ splits all the way down the track to the final ET.

Two very consistant passes with only a very slight difference in 60' ft's. It shows what 60 fts change in ET.

Imagine going from a 1.53 to a 1.65 60ft for instance. The consistancy in the burnout box, staging, traction off the line the first 60 feet make the whole run as long as the car can run consistantly to the stripe. In this case it did and very well I might add.

Congrats on two very nice runs Chris!!!!!! Told you! ;)
