annoying cotinuous beep

Does ant one encounter a long continuous beep when the key is turned to the run position. I do occasionally, and it's annoying. It does stop as soon as the car is started, but there has to be a reason for it. I'm not able to receive codes from the self test either, but that could be unrelated. Its a 93 SC auto.

I think I know what you mean - when you turn the key to the run position but don't start it - right?

My 90 5spd does it too. Annoying? Yeah.. so I just don't do it

It's a factory warning alert to let you know the key is on but the engine isn't running.

In other words...normal.

It's not normal in my car. Most of the time there is no noise except for the fuel pump.
