Replacement 6G alternator question..From what car should I get one from?

I have read through the posts about the 6G alternators and would very much like to get one for my 89 SC, but I couldn't seem to find any real straight answers on from which car I could get one from (year, make, model)? I am totally comfortable re-wiring to make it work. Do I re-use my existing pulley or is a different one required for proper alignment with the belts?

I got mine complete with pulley. 8 rib 3 inch. Do a search on corral.net . A guy over there sells them complete with proper pulley and wiring.

I believe they were used on a taurus or something. Fits great and looks great

The search function in this case does wonders. Advantages is more amps than factory and more efficient than a 3g. Than again go to ebay and type in mustang 6G and plenty of photos will pop up
