power steering

I started the power steering project in the early fall and didnt finish it untill a week before the snow started which was about the middle of november, didnt really get to drive it sense the insurence timed out on figured why put insurence on it for just a week then its going in storage, but i got to drive it down the road for about 5 miles then put it away.

What im wondering is about the wine that has came with the new pump. I replaced every main peice of it (pump, pulley, fluid). So my question is why is the new power steering pump giving me a wine?

I've talked with a few people and they all say that I just need to give it time for the new fluid to run the lines. My uncle told me the same thing, and said to crank the wheel hard for about 10-15 min, and it should do it.

If these are things that i need to do then great I dont need to take it apart and put a new pump on. But if anyone can help that would be great.
