I have a set a ross custom forged pistons from my 93 SC. There are score marks on the skirts of the pistons. My question is: Are these now junk?

How deep are the score marks? All pistons will develop vertical scoring eventually. Can you catch them with a fingernail? Got pics? :)

If they arent to bad you can get away with it. I's say get them coated. It's your rings that seal afterall.

So long as there isnt excessive wear you should be ok. Ive seen people just sand down any rough edges and reinstall but Id rather just get them coated

The only real concern is to check the pistons dimensionally to ensure that they still have their proper shape and the skirts haven't started to collapse.
