6G alternator pulley question

I noticed that the smallest diameter underdrive pulley they offer is 3.2", which makes me wonder what diameter the stock pulley is. Anyone know ?

When I bought my 2nd 6g the guy gave me a 3 inch (UD size) pulley with it so I kept it as is. The first 6g I had I used my SCI UD pulley set with it. So I would think it fit fine

Damon,

That's the info I'm looking for. Making a special pulley for my SC alternator and just wanted to be sure it will transfer over to a 6G if I end up going that direction.

I know the 6g requires a minimum alternator shaft speed of 2000 rpms at idle, which I can easily do with a 2.625 diameter alternator pulley and a 6.00 diameter crank pulley at 1000 rpms.

Thanks, David

Here are a few pictures of the new 2.625 diameter alternator pulley I had made to replace the 3" diameter March underdrive pulley. The reason for doing this was to increase voltage at idle. Old pulley made 13.8 volts at initial start when cold, and this one makes 14.3 volts. Still had plenty of stroke on the belt tensioner, so I didn't even need to re-clock it.
