This rim is really growing on my. I believe it has a 45mm offset and are 18* 9.5.

Now a 9.5 def wont work in the front especially with a 45mm offset. It more than likely smash the control arm.

Being its a factory ford rim teh finish quality tends to be much better as far as it holding up....

Soooooo I can get all 4 for $600( I actually saw $599 shipped somewhere) and send two out to get an inch cut out. That would still make them very reasonable. They make repros of them in a 18*9 and 18*10 however they look a little off and either come in chrome , all black or black with a machined finish...None of which look as good as the factory rim..Anyway

What do you all think? Not sure I will actually do it but was thinking..

And here are the repos...

Am I crazy or do the repos look as good?

Those look good!

I am not impressed with the earlier model Mustang rims on the TBird but THOSE ARE COOL!

I would only do the replicas as they have offsets that will look good on the SC, they offer the 18x9 in 30mm for the front and you can try the 18x10 for the rears with the 45mm rears, I think the 285 tires will be too much but its doable. I would get it in chrome only the black pocket will look too dark and the black ones are also too black for the teal car, you dont have that menacing look so Id stay away from to those. Even the gray pockets might look kinda dark but I guess they dont offer it in that color. Id do chrome.

If you are going with originals then you will need to weld spacers on them and redrill the bolt bosses.

Funny, I don't like that wheel at all. It looks good on the new Stang because that car is very angular and has sharp lines. I don't even think it looks good on the Fox body. The SC is smooth and those wheels would look out of place. They look like something I'd process vegetables with.

JMHO.

opinion is only that for me at least until I see them on the car.

Yeah I don't like them either, like Dave said they are too angular for the smooth lines of the SC. I don't really like the spoke design itself much either. But if you like them then go for it.

How come you say the 9.5" front won't work? with a spacer you would clear no problem, with no rubbing. I run a 9.5" wide wheel in the front on my 90 with no problems, running a 245/35/ZR18 I think. I used to run a 255/45/ZR18, it rubbed over bumps with a 2" drop but I am also running very low offset.

I dont know. I just kind of like them. Seemed though that the factory ones wouldnt need a spacer for the rear and if I narrowed the fronts an inch they should clear the spindle.

They dont look angular at all in person

YOu have to add material not substract/shave. You want them to stick out more even on the rear althought it will work. Stay with the aftermarket specs.

To add, If you are stuck on that style rim. You should just do 18x9 30mm offset all around. You dont need the staggered style since they are not deep dish. You can then get tires that match front to rear so you can rotate and maybe it will handle better doing so. Buy some 275/40/18s first for the back and try them on the front to see if you can get away with it. If not then get some 265/40/18s Or else forget about this particular wheel.

Chrome for your color.

Im not sure I like the black or chrome jut the factory color....Just a thought here. I know the aftermarket 05-09 rims seem a good offset...But I think chrome saleens would look better
