Heres where i am. I removed my ac. I removed my power steering pump. I want to run 1 belt from the crank up around the water pump, down around the idler pulley and up around the alternator. Instead of getting a 10% jackshaft the accessory crank pulley would spin the idler faster. Same effect. Plus it would eliminate a belt and give me a better wrap around the water pump. I want to seperate the idler from the jackshaft and put a spacer between them. Will it come apart? I could find an 8 rib pulley the size of the current idler and weld it on, drill it and use longer bolts. But i'd rather not. Theres more possibility for error.

interested as well, mostly to make the front of the motor shorter for my pinto install and i eliminated ps as well. hope to keep ac if room is available tho
