Hey Guys, I was thinking about going to KCIR on Saturday. Just checking to see if anybody else would be interested in going.

I'll be headed east this weekend.

I don't know what the rest of KC crew is doing.

Working...but I could be/try to be down for a dinner so long as they leave me alone. BTW, is Travis' car on craigslist?

I just may make it there myself. I am in Atchison but plan on having lunch with my dad in K.C. I haven't been to KCIR for years. The build on your car looks similar to mine. I don't see too many out there with the eagle rods and diamond pistons these days.

Hi Kurt.

I need to get out to St Louis sometime and meet up with you guys out there. It's been awhile since I have been out that way.

I am still planning to making it to the track tomorrow. I am going to try and get there around noon when the gates open.

I don't think I will be able to do the dinner though. I need to be back in town by 6:30 or 7:00.

I have to pick up the ET Streets and do a couple of little things to the car tonight.

I would make the trip another day. It's supposed to be in the 90's tomorrow.

How long will you be out there? Noon is not a good time for me but maybe later on. How do we contact you?

Jason, I would go another day but I don't get many chances to go down there.

Well? How did it go? I got my sack stomped at work today so I had NO down time.

Honestly Chris, not worth a crap. I could only get a 13.50 @ 106 out of it. There was a ton of problems going on. The ACT temps were hitting 170 and pulling 8 deg of timing at some points in the rpm band. Looking at the data log, it looks like either the clutch is slipping or it is spinning the tires. I know the heat had a lot to do with the ACT temps but I never thought they would be that high. With the last dyno numbers I got one would think it should run a mid 12 or less. I have thought about taking some of the overdrive off of the supercharger down to 15% instead of 25%. So all in all it was a pretty sucky day.

Rodney, what were the temps at the beginning of the run? Did you find that the ACT's were high before the run or were you seeing large gain during the run?

Also, how about the alcohol injection?

Dave, It was hot, the corrected alt was 3000'. The lowest I could get the ACT to was 110 and that was letting it sit for about 45 min. They were starting at 110 and ending the run at 170. I also turned up the alcohol injection a little. Do you think it would be safe to move the alcohol injector before the ACT sensor? I have one injector before the supercharger and the other in the return plenum.

Here is a couple of data logs to look at if you want.

Jason, I said corrected. With the heat and humidity it was as if being at 3000'.

Many of us have one nozzle right before the ACT sensor and the second nozzle in the return plenum.

Your blower really hates that long 3rd gear pull.

I may be missing it, but is there a way to log how much timing is being pulled by the ACT?

Really, it looks like you had the same issue as I did at KCIR... No traction.... You finally hooked on the third stab of the gas.

You might benefit from less gear. That shift to 4th isn't really helping you all that much.

Is there any sort of MAF smoothing you can do to clean up the signal on that MAF?

Take a look at the seccond CSV you posted... 3rd gear, around 5100rpms, your MAF had a small spike, which caused a bigger spike in your calculated load. This spike in the MAF was a false reading, and when the extra load commanded more fuel, you saw your AFR dip down from 12:1ish to 11.11:1. There are 2-3 other places like this.

I come from a MAP tuning world, so I really don't know if this is a big deal to you or not.

For the record, I have NO clue what all of those number were. But, being that I am more than a bit tipsy, i have to Ggree with Rybear. :D

In all seriousness, I think I am going to lear n to tune too. Looks kind of fun and I will probably be havin to do that to at LEAST 3 cars.
