Wheel Fitment 18X9.5

I have an 18X8 in a 5 spoke. Looks very stock with 45 tire. I would really like a 18X9.5 with the same 40mm offset to gain a little depth in the wheel while getting more rubber on the ground. The 18X8's with 40mm offset work fine and have tons of clearance. They are not in or out. They look very normal. Looks like I have tons of room to go 9.5. Some of you thought the 18's would look funny but look no larger than stock and even smaller than some of you with Eibach or H&R's than bring your car's down. I too will do this I am just worried about the suspension knuckle that sits above the tire. Thanks guys

That would work on the rear, but the most that you could use with a 9.5" front wheel is around +32 offset before encountering interference with the spindle.
