The NVMC had there first T & T session of the season here yesterday at Mason Dixon Dragway. Couple of the Mid-Atlantic boys showed for some early test and tune action.

Mike Siska and his bird were here at my place for the weekend and Blown38 and Joker with his Cougar showed up at the track to do some shakedown passes.

All in all a decent spring day as far as conditions. Not optimum of course but good. Traction was iffy at times also. But EVERYONE ran new PERSONAL BESTS as far as on Mason Dixon's track yesterday! I'll let the boys that are on here post their results.

The mustang clan was shocked to see these barges run like they did.

Great weekend and glad to see all you guys again after a long winter.

;)

Well I ran a best of 11.107 at 123. Had three 11.2's and one 11.3. Best 60' was 1.58 and a 1.61 everything else was 1.65:(. Had starter problems took me 2 hours to get it started after the first pass. I will be taking my original starter to my rebuilder to get her fixed up.

Need to get to MIR and get my weight now. I'm thinking I gained 150 lbs from the 10.7 runs at the end of last year.

But man can you feel a difference in the car with the roll bar! Much stiffer ride.

Need to get these new tires screwed down. Marked the tires and they turned about 2" over 4 runs.

Here's some in car videos. Still got the crappy 1-2 shift and you can tell from the vids. 1-2 is kinda bla and 2-3 is nice and crisp.

11.32

11.28 Nasty wheel hop, lucky I got good axles. Couldn't push thru it. Sucks being strapped into the seat, can't pull it outta the box where I like it.

Sounds like you guys had a good season opener. That 4R70 looks to be nice to just sit back and let it shift away, stupid AOD's:(.

Just a walk in the park. Nothing like just putting it in gear and going for a drive :p Be a damn shame if the driver had to do anything but sit back and enjoy the ride ;)

Excellent times for MD though Chris. Great way to start the season.

Chris,

Is it possible that it feels bla, because the converter is locking right after the shift ?

David

PS: Nice runs !!

I was thinking that too, but it doesn't go to 6500 in 1st. (The log goes up then it dips down then back up then completes the shift) I'm pretty sure it used to go to 6500. I have to look at my logs on the other computer. I just need a new trans or newer valve body, I think. I'm gonna pull the pan and look at the accumulator bores and check everything out and maybe throw some new solenoids in it.

It used to nail some hard 1-2 shifts. Atleast to where you could hear the tires fighting for traction like the 2-3 shift in these videos.

Yup here's a log from september 17 2010 shifting at 6400.

Sounds really good. Things will get better, it's just time for some changes. Now that you have a roll bar, it's 10.00 time! Datalog looks good.
