03 cobra anniversary rims chrome

gt40 type rim in chrome

gt500 in chrome

I really dont want chrome however they only have the 03 rims in chrome at the moment..And thats the rim Im leaning toward...Also the offset is much better at 43 for the rears than 45 for the other two styles...I added all three in chrome for comparison reasons....

So.....Should I wait for the non chrome versions...Get the chrome versions..OR one of the other two styles im looking at?

What do you all think?? These would be going on my teal car

I think you should wait and get the anthracite or black faced Anny wheels in SN95 fitment, +22 on an 18x10 will look super aggressive. http://forums.yuppieracing.net/images/wink/gesture046.gif

i dont like the GT4 wheels and I am partial to deep dish. if you dont want chrome dont get it. Chrome is high maintenence but they look so good clean, and I am starting to even like them with lots of brake dust on them, turns them into black chrome. More people are noticing the car now so i guess mission accomplished.

+22 will stick out way to far..But I am really leaning toward waiting for anthracite to be in stock. But the chrome is growing on me..I just know it will be a maintenance nightmare

I don't think they will, look at this:
http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=255&aspect=45&diameter=18&wheelwidth=9.5&offset=15&width2=275&aspect2=40&diameter2=18&wheelwidth2=10&offset2=22&Submit=Submit

This compares the SN95 fitment SVE wheel (with a standard size tire) to the current rear wheel fitment on my '90. With a fender roll I NEVER rub in the back, and have 3-4mm to go before they would hit the fender.

I like simple and would go with the SVE, and if you don't want chrome WAIT.

I currently have sn95 99 cobra 17 by 8 rims with rolled fenders a ten inch at that offset will more than likely rub. I think 40mm is ideal

this is so going to be an impulse purchase....I can see it happening

16" rims dont fit with 13" brakes for one

I guess I'm still stuck on the cobra r's because I can't see any of them looking that sporty for a t-bird. But, I do think the gt 500's look appealing of the 3 displayed. Kinda have to see them on the car. Just can't seem to picture it.
BTW. Why 18's now?

Honestly Id rather stick with 17" but they just dont make any rim options. I need a 10 out back and an 8.5 or greater up front to run my 185/255 combo nicely..Just so happens 05 up stang offsets work very well for us where as the sn95 work but stick out a bit to far.

So Ill just go 255/285 combo in 18 with a staggered 9/10 inch combo..The othe roption I was thinking was widening my rears that I currently have...But ehhhhh

The great thing about super coupe styling is how clean the lines are. I think the simpler the wheel the better so I would rank them Gt500, GT40 and GT500 anniversary last. I still think that the stock directional is the nicest wheels for these cars. The stock wheels in a 18 inch diameter would be perfect.

Like the GT500 in chrome. Wish I had a pictures here at work, but I held off getting chrome wheels with the teal car because I wasn't sure how it would look. Got a set of 17" Chrome Cobra R's off of Bill over the winter and they really do look good.

Yeah, like those alot actually, which is wierd! I've never been a huge fan of aftermarket wheels, mostly because I've always loved the look of the '93 and up stock wheels, especially with wider tires. That's why it took forever to break down and get Cobra R's. Glad I finally did!

Why do you think I am still sporting Rs, they are a timeless design. Actually they are a design that was of that generation of cars 90s. Smooth so it complements cars of that vintage well.

Contour SVT, Taurus SHO, mustangs, Tbirds all look good with that wheel. Is it played out? Yep. but like fashion things make a come back eventually.

The cheapest I've seen is 450, and the guy never responded to any of my inquiries. Other than that people usually want over 700 for polished and 500 for silver.
