Hi there,

wondering what you guys thought about the comfort level of the SC compared to the TC. I'm a tall and chubby guy with back problems so my seat usually has to be fairly straight. When I had my old '88 TC with the sunroof, my head would damn near hit the headliner if I hit a bump so I'd have to lean the seat back more than I generally like.

does anyone know if there's any comparison charts that list maybe the front hip room, front heigh and such between the two models?

Thanks,

Andrew

Seating position and seats are way more comfortable. But the car is a good inch or so lower, and the seat is even lower. I bought my 93 from a guy who injured his back and just couldn't get into and out of the car anymore.

Hands down, the SC is more comfortable than a turbo coupes seats.

I had 2 turbo coupes and 3 super coupes. The SCs are far more comfortable and just an all around better car. Although i'm pretty short so I never had head clearance issues. lol

Your head will still hit the roof if you don't get into the gangsta lean.

thanks for the replies.

I may need to find someone with a supercoupe and just sit in it to see how it feels.

I LOVE thunderbirds (TC & SC to be specific), but I'm not going to spend a few thousands dollars on a car that I'm not comfortable driving in.

ps, here's a few of my past turbocoupes:

I own two fox body xr7's an 87 and an 88. I think they are comfortable but compared to an SC not as much. SC seats support better and the ride is overall cushier yet still handles great. If I were you look for a 94-95

I'm 6'3" and have no issues with my SC with sunroof.

is there a difference between the 94-95 SC compared to the older years? sorry, I'm a rookie with the SC series.

I'm 6'2" so that's good to know someone who is taller than me seems to be fine with their SC.

How do you need it anymore like a 70's cadillac handling. My 89sc feels like I'm driving a boat. Gimme a TC any day!
