Changing clutch

Is a lift necessary to replace the clutch? My sc sits so low, I have a helluva time getting a floor jack under it. What's the best way to get it off the ground? Ramps in front, and jack stands in the rear? I've never changed a clutch in one of these before, only in my 87 Bronco that I traded for it, and I could roll under that on a creeper before it was on jacks :D.

Not necessary. Do not use ramps, I have seen cars roll off from them. To get it high enough to get a jack under, drive up on a couple of 2x4's, I do this with my 89 IROC-Z all the time. Use jackstands on all four corners, you can get it high enough.
