A bunch of the TBU guys attended the grand opening of a new performance shop in the STL area this weekend. They had a dyno competition and I ended up winning the 6 cyl class with this pull. (456 rwhp Mustang Dyno).

I guess the guy with the supercharged Mark VIII got a job and his car going. Any info on the turbo LT1?

The DJ had a supercharged MrkVIII that he said makes 490 rwhp, but I didn't see a turbo LT1. This is the shop we were at.

Dyno sheet is pretty useless, and I may have tossed it. Dyno was a brand new mustang dyno and they couldn't get a correct rpm (showing double), so no torque, and they didn't use a wideband, so all I have is HP between 80 and 125 mph. I didn't data log it because there wasn't any tuning going on. I just wanted to see what it would pull after switching from a Lentech 2800 stall to a Dirtydog 3500.

Last time I had it on a Mustang dyno it pulled 450, but that was at another shop. With the looser converter I was only expecting about 425, so I was very happy with 456.

As hot as that dyno was smelling, and with the numbers you got, I might have actually been able to get that elusive 400 rwhp

Yeah that thing was really cookin, I was halfway expecting it to burst into flames. It very well could pull 400.....but you'll never know until you try.

I'm not that interested in a $40 letdown. Although, with no 1/4 mile track in the area, that might be my only excitement for a while.

Kurt you don't want the 400 mark, it will just make your times look less impressive :p

I just put two and two together...the DJ was "Phreakness" from over on TCCOA. I think we met him at one of the WFC's years ago.

This one? I don't think any of us met the owner of it.
