P/S pressure hose Q.

Can you use a pressure hose designed for a car without variable assist for a car with it? How are the hoses different? Are the ones for the sc different?

I only hoses I can locate are
-w/o variable assist
-with variable assist but exc SC

Can someone let me know what hose will work.

I have an 89 sc with variable assist.

the only time i had hose issues was when the o ring went bad in the rack . i went to the junkyard and bought the u shaped piece about 6 inches long that hooks to the old hose from a na tbird and used my old hose
i believe the hose is different because you need the pressure switch for variable assist or it will steer to easy at hiway speed
also if the speedometer is unhooked it will steer to easy at hiway speed
