Hi can some please explain to me how this actuator work while engine is at idle and when the engine throttles up.
Thanks

pretty simple, when there is vacuum present it opens, so at idle and cruise anytime there is a neg pressure in intake it will open to bypass the intake around the supercharger, when you give it gas you loose vacuum and it closes.

i had a boost problem and i verified that my bypass door was not closing so it a good thing to check.

air by pass act

ok thanks. my car has been in storage for a few years I started the engine and i notice the valve had vacuum to it at idle I dont recall it working thay way? so as I understand at idle there is vacuum at pod. Thanks.

yes, when you start the car the valve is pulled open with vacuum if you give it throttle the valve will close (due to loss of vacuum) mine would vacuum open but not close (i had a crushed line that kept vacuum from releasing).

hope that helps
