egr removal

My EGR finally bit the dust.. I got the 2 bolts loose, but what is the trick to get it unscrewed from the tube. Everything I have seems too big to get in there to unscrew it?

try removing the nut off the manifold to remove the entire tube/egr assembly. Then you should be able to apply some heat to the egr nut and with some vice grips get it free.

I unscrewed mine with a sawzall

what a pain...

had to remove full cowling, including wiper motor then, had to pull starter..

disconnected from exhaust manifold at bottom then from top and pulled it out..

lo and behold I found the problem.. cracked tube and the silicon hose was split at the end not connected too well. probably contributing factor for the high nox.
