My best run was my first run. 11.03 at 125 with 1.62 60'. Traction was horrible for me again:confused: and I missed out on the fresh track prep for the first qualifiing round, when my IC tube popped off at the hit of the throttle.

All the other runs were 11.17, 11.18 and 11.20 with pooey 1.69 60's. So Dave beat me out at this event, but I will be back;)

I saw Dave run his 10.93 right in front of me and was thinking, ok its my turn the track is gripping now! Then pow no powah!

And we made it home ok at 4:30am. What a long day. I took a different route back which was not best for speed but it kept me awake going up and down 10% grades with 25mph turns all the way up and down them. At the peak of one of the mountains we where at 3500'. I believe thats the highest I've been on a road.

I had a great time watching you guys race. Sally said she overheard several conversation about the Thunderbirds that were there and how good they were running. She overheard one guy say "and that was with a Fn V-6!"

I was really pulling for you all to break your best and would have been nice to see another one of the SC's in the 10's. Who knows maybe we can get a couple in the 10's this Spring at the Spring KyHorsepower meet. :D

My worst of the day was a traction limited 11.12 @ 126.47 and my best of the day was a 10.92 @ 126.70. Kathy and I both had a blast and the car ran great on every pass.

I managed to tear off a new best 11.174 @ 121.044mph with a 1.602 60'....all personal bests.

Once I figured out how to get my car to run 28 deg of timing it really came alive.

Only thing I can say is the 60' times were still higher than I would hope for by quite a bit. The 1.60 I was launching at 3700rpm off the trans break..heck the car even lifted a tire off the ground, didn't seem to squat excessively, didn't spin. I'm not complaining just scratching my head a little.

Just sat down in front of the TV after a lot of musical cars, tire changes, etc. Anyway, nothing great to report, but I did make it back into the 11's with horrible traction. Best 60' of the day was a 1.67, which yielded my best run of a 11.84. Density Altitude was 1300' to 1600' most of the day with temps as high as 74. Not too excited about my times, but at least I made it back to the 11's.

Wouldnt take much draging to get down there. Sounds like a top dog shootout:D I just have to figure out how to close the gap on that other whipple car;)

Hey you know there is a Kyhorsepower meet in the Spring! :D

Funny thing about the track that day. The left lane's speed trap was about 4mph slower than the right lane. May have found my traction issue. Left axle nut is loose... time to get a new one.

Make sure you let us know when that schedule is released. Although I don't suspect the weather will be as good as it was last week.

Well glad you guys got some really good runs in and had fun. I was thinking of you all, but realized I just couldn't spend the money at this time. That's aesome that people were checking out the birds...indeed we don't have to mope around track anymore..(speaking generally with sc's) :) missed you all! mel
