My engine out of my totalled 91 is ready to go, i decided instead of speeding along and throwing it in, i was gonna take my time, redo what needed to be redone. It just so happens i got another car, which took the DD responsibility off of my 89 which the motor is going into. I thought i would share a few pictures to get some input on what you guys thought...

<a href="http://s1101.photobucket.com/albums/g433/1fastbird/?action=view&current=1321807220.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g433/1fastbird/1321807220.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Here is the back of the engine. The oil pan block and heads was stripped down and painted. the block got rust encapsulated and painted black, heads and manifold got rebuilders cast. The intake manifold got gasket matched to the heads, and the inlet opening was opened up and matched to the plenum. The plenum has a satin black, polished aluminum accents around the base and the two back ridges.

Here is the front of the engine before i decided to redo the MP 10% OD crank pulley..

which brings me too the crank pulley

<a href="http://s1101.photobucket.com/albums/g433/1fastbird/?action=view&current=1321807315.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g433/1fastbird/1321807315.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s1101.photobucket.com/albums/g433/1fastbird/?action=view&current=1321807183.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g433/1fastbird/1321807183.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

I wanted it to follow the theme of the blower and the plenums, so i decided to polish both the front and center lips, and blast the back and inside with the satin black/clear combo. in the pic its is just the polishing.

<a href="http://s1101.photobucket.com/albums/g433/1fastbird/?action=view&current=1321807261.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g433/1fastbird/1321807261.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Decided to polish the tensioners also.

<a href="http://s1101.photobucket.com/albums/g433/1fastbird/?action=view&current=1321807303.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g433/1fastbird/1321807303.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

This 94 blower took me over 20 hours between the porting/ cleaning/painting/ polishing. i dont have any pictures of the inlet side porting as of now, but here is the blowers paint job, polished/satin/clear

<a href="http://s1101.photobucket.com/albums/g433/1fastbird/?action=view&current=1321807348.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g433/1fastbird/1321807348.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>..

sorry for the long post, but im really happy with how this is coming out! :) :)

And I just realized with all the pics of everything polished that there are fingerprints on everything..haha

Looks great man. Congrats on getting it done the way you wanted. I didn't notice fingerprints, only hard work and a sick looking engine and polished SUPERCHARGER!

You do know that painting the accy. bracket prohibits the DIS from grounding and working, right?

Unless you've removed paint against the head/engine, you're facing a no-start, sorry.

Yes im aware of where it mounts it also grounds, but thanks anyway. that would a be a huge headache. And yes the valve covers were wrinkled black but it came out like crap, so i redid them a hammered metallic.

yeah its a 89 5 spd. i love the car. it was a disaster when i got it, it had a nasty dirty tan interior, swapped in my good black leather one out of my other sc. I finished the snout last night, took a ton of work, here it is.

The first start should be sometime in the following weeks, motor still needs to be pulled, i got to get the clutch assm. balanced. new clutch slave etc. i hope that dreaded line comes off ok. i want to paint the engine bay, clean everything really well, rewrap the wiring harness, redo all rubber hoses belt etc. its gonna be like a new car when im done! here are a few older pics of the car.
these were taken over the summer, as far as exterior goes, i put the stock silver rims back on,tinted the front windows, and the tail lights and headlights were darkened with vht. it looks alot more dark and sleek. the paint also looks alot nicer since i went over the whole thing with the foam pad glaze. i also re did the trim where you can see the yellow coming through and re did the peeling door tape.

A few years ago I ordered a clutch line from Rock Auto. I am not sure if they are still available.

Woa...wait, the wheels are not polished? I am kind of disapointed:D.

Seriously though, I had a clutch built for my bronco. They have the same shaft diameter and teeth. The pressure plate appars to be the same as well and will bolt up. I lunched the one in my bronco that was for the diesel...and put the spec stage 1 out of the SC in it. Worked fine.

Also, custom built clutches can work a lot better and be cheaper than the aftermarket junk that will chatter on take off almost every time. Just my .02

The car looks great dude!.. il have to post some more pictures when i get on the computer at the house.. i have some in my profile.. im just gettin my 89 goin.. ur interior looks way better than mine..
yeah! i have an 89 f150 5speed and i got to thinkin that the tranny is exactly the same minus the tail shaft.. the slave cylinders r the same so i figured that i could retro fit the line.. i just did all that on the truck.. il let u know how the experement works on the clutch line retro fit for the sc..

Thanks Kurt, i finallly started working on getting everything apart, got the trans out, clutch apart, and half the motor out, just gotta pull pass side acc bracket and motor mounts. so far the list of what i need is growing and growing, and my wallet is shrinking and shrinking..

i dont have pics of my polished MP top before close up, but it had major pitting and corrosion, here it is before and after i finished it,

gotta love spare parts!!! Nah, if you look at the water pump and jackshaft the bolts are chrome and nice, i have the other in my car to match up for the crank. rusty bolts on a clean nice motor? i dont think so....hah
