Hey everyone I just had a real quick question. I have recently done a tune up on my Thunderbird with new oil/filter/plugs/ and wires but the engine is still running a bit rough and producing a bit of white smoke on acceleration. Is there something I have missed if so any ideas would be appreciated.

-Best Regards
Alex

Sounds like a blown headgasket. See if the white smoke smells a bit like antifreeze. Check your coolant level.

Coolant Level Dropped a Bit today where my indicator said Radiator Low. How hard is it to get to the Head-gasket on the 3.8 Supercharged Engine? Is there a way to test the gasket before I start tearing the engine down?

Did any of the plugs look cleaner than others? It would likely be the passenger rear plug, but could be any. A clean plug would be an indication that water is getting into the cylinder, most likely from a head gasket leak.

I have seen gaskets leaking in up to 3 cylinders when doing the head gaskets.
