I am in the process of rebuilding an engine. I see that melling makes two pumps for our cars. One is an M137 standard volume and the other is an M246 high volume. I am not a huge fan of high volume pumps as I typically prefer a high pressure - standard volume pump. Which pump do the folks on here typically use when performing a rebuild?

Everyone uses the M246 which is the same thing the 94-95 SC came with from the factory.

Yep, to what David said.

I think the only difference is that the M246 gear had 1 more tooth than the M137 which allows it to obtain a higher volume.
