Engine won't turn over

My 90SC has been sitting for a year or so. When I parked it the alternator was starting to go. This weekend I installed a new one and put a fresh battery (fully charged) in. I have aux power (door lights, warning lamps, etc..) but when I go to start it the engine won't turn. I can hear the solenoid clicking and all the bells and whistles come on but other than that....nothing.
Does anyone have any ideas of what I should be checking...thx

Check the small solenoid wire connection on the starter itself. If it loses contact it'll have your symptoms. It's a slip on spade lug and they come loose. I've had that problem before.

Thanks guys I'll give that a try!
Seems like I should be concentrating on the solenoid and starter area.
