hi any body knows why the front fan in the condensator is not working when i turn the air conditoner?? only the radiator fan turn on -------94' sc thank you

I think it only kicks on when you are at a very high temp..Your regular fan should kick on with AC. This is the oh crap im way to hot fan

And usually they get seized up because the factory temp setting is so high for them to come on at, they rarely do.

cheers

If you have a scanner you can test both of the fan speeds (yes your fan has a low and a high speed). If not put your AC on. Your high speed fan should turn on.

You can test with an ohm meter. Turn off the car and disconnect the fan motor. Be careful not to break the connector. You can check the resistance between the motor connectors. Resistance should peg the scale between two the ends and the center wires. If not you have a suspected bad fan motor.

If you do not have a ohm meter start the car and check the voltage at the connectors. The middle to one of the ends should read more than 10.5 volts. If it does then you motor is bad. Do not run the car long with the fan disconnected.

If the above does not work get a ohm meter and check the ECT sensor. The ECT should be at 24K ohms at 68 deg F and 1.18 K ohms at 120 deg F. if not you have a bad sensor.
